Turn Camp Program

The program is built around one mission:

How might we connect what matters most to what we can do best?

We will go on a journey along six steps:

1.

SESSION I – PERSONAL BEING

Saturday morning

The focus on performance, excellence and selection created a competitive, stressful and unhealthy workplace for professional artists and creatives.
How might we enlarge the space for curiosity, play and experiment in a world that’s focused on achievement, production and building reputation?

We’ll search for a new way of working that’s both healthy and impactful.
It comes down to redefining autonomy: In a changing society, how might we bring our autonomous artist-mindset to places that need it most?

2.

SESSION II – YOUR ABUNDANCE

Saturday afternoon

There is so much we experienced, know, posses and have access to.
How do we activate what we have to bring our best ideas into reality?
How might we allow the notion of dependence into our system?

3.

SESSION III – LOCAL ACTING

Saturday night

Where can we really make a difference?
How do we design an effective circle of influence?
We collect amazing examples, puzzling dilemma’s, bright ideas and clever hacks.
Participants can bring an example of an impactful art project from their own experience or from around the globe.

4.

SESSION IV – GLOBAL THINKING

Sunday morning

How do our personal and local actions influence global structures?
Can we find a way to get a grip on the immense challenges that we face as humanity?
How do we distinguish the noisy symptoms from the real causes of global problems such as poverty, extremism and inequality?

5.

SESSION V – YOUR STRENGTH

Sunday morning

Where lies your strength?
Are you an activist, a connector, a creator or a thinker?
How do you connect your personal assets to places and situations that need it most?

You can choose a working group that focuses on a particular strength.

6.

SESSION VI – PERSONAL COMMITMENT

Sunday afternoon

What alliances can we make?
What commitment can you give that will contribute to your own ambitions as well?

FILM – DEMAIN

Showing solutions, telling a feel-good story… this may be the best way to solve the ecological, economical and social crises that our countries are going through.

After a special briefing for the journal Nature announced the possible extinction of a part of mankind before the end of the 21st century, Cyril Dion and Mélanie Laurent, together with a team of four people, carried out an investigation in ten different countries to figure out what may lead to this disaster and above all how to avoid it.

DINNER AT METAAL KATHEDRAAL
